빛 바라보기

빛을 통해 만물을 볼 수 있는 우리는 빛의 역할을 망각한 채 일상을 살아가고 있다. 만약 빛이 없는 어둠만이 세상에 존재한다면 흑백의 조화 속에서만 숨을 쉬며 지낼 것이며, 각양각색의 찬란한 색들은 상상조차 할 수 없을 것이다. 하지만 빛이 있음으로 하여 계절의 변화에 따른 자연의 색을 감상할 수 있으며, 만물이 재 각기 가지고 있는 고유의 색을 보고 느낄 수 있다.
‘빛’으로 인해 모든 관계의 설정이 새롭게 형성된다. 동일한 날씨, 계절, 장소에서 낮과 밤에 보는 풍경을 살펴보라. 동일한 조건 속에서도 빛의 有·無로 인한 다른 풍경을 느낄 수 있을 것이다. 빛과 함께 하는 낮의 풍경은 밝고 화사하며 찬란하다면 어둠과 함께 하는 밤의 풍경은 침착하고 고요하며, 스산하기까지 하다.
밝고 어둠의 대비 및 조화를 통해 바라본 나만의 풍경은 작품을 통해 빛을 해석하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 ‘빛 바라보기’를 통한 풍경의 재해석을 이번 전시의 주제로 삼고자 한다. 동일한 공간에 빛과 어둠이 함께 공존하여 또 다른 풍경을 창조 하는 것은 빛과 나의 관계를 통한 재해석인 동시에 나만의 그림이 되며, 나의 내면적인 표상의 반영이 되는 동시에 나의 주관적인 성찰이 내포되어 있는 또 다른 내가 되는 것이다.
Staring the light

Everybody who can see all things through the light are living daily completely oblivious to the role of the light. If there are only the dark without any light in the world, we would just breathe inside the harmony of the black and white and could not imagine any of various and glittering colors.
All colors depend on light. That is why we can enjoy natural colors which follows in change of season and see and feel specific colors which is all things are having each. The set of all relationships is formed newly because of light. Try to observe the scenery which we see in the day and night at the same weather, season and place. You can see different scenery at the same condition by existence and nonexistence of light. The scenery of the day with light together is bright, splendid and brilliant but the scenery of the shadows of night is calm, silent and gloomy.
The scenery of my work that I saw through the contrast and harmony of bright and dark is interpreting the light by my work. Because of these reasons, I take the subject that is re-analysis the scenery by 'Staring the light' for this exhibition. To create different scenery by coexistence of light and dark in the same place is the re-analysis by the relationship of light and I. It will be only my work which reflect my internal ideas and it become another I who contain my subjective self-reflection.
