CICA Museum invites new media artists worldwide to participate in a series of exhibitions and our publication. The selected artists will showcase their work(s) for two weeks at the CICA Museum art gallery and will be featured in the book " New Media Art 2016." The work(s) will also be featured on the CICA Museum website and social media.
[Exhibition]
A series of exhibitions will take place throughout 2016. Three to six new media works will be installed every other week. Each work will be exhibited for two weeks.

-Single Channel Video & Animation
-New Media Installations
-Interactive Art
-Game Art
-Web Art
-Mobile App
-Art and Social Media
-Art and Mass Media
-Data Visualization
-3D Printing
-Performance (Addressing Media Related Issues)
*Electronic Devices:
We will provide a projector, DVD player, laptop, or/and monitor for the show. If you would like to install more than one work or to use more than two projectors/monitors, additional fee may apply.
*Installation & Shipping:
If you are unable to personally install your digital work, our curators & assistants will install your work according to your installation guidelines. If you have objects other than digital files, you will need to ship them at your own expense.
[Publication] "New Media Art 2016"
The book "New Media Art 2016" will be released in the United States and Korea in 2016. Each artist will be featured in four pages of the book. The article may include any form of text (e.g., interview, essay, poetry), drawings, and pictures that introduces the artists' works. Each artist will also be introduced through the CICA Museum website and social media.
Timeline:
October 15, 2015 Open Submissions
October 31, 2015 Close Early Submissions
November 21, 2015 Close Regular Submissions
December 7, 2015 Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
December 15, 2015 Completion and Return of the Exhibition & Publishing Agreement Form, Fee Payment
January 1, 2016 - December 25, 2016 Exhibition Series
September 5, 2016 Expected publication date of "New Media Art 2016"

*How to submit your work:
- Please send us a link to your web portfolio and bio. Please email them to "cica_email."
- Please write "Submission: New Media Art - Category (indicate the category you wish to submit your work in)" in the subject line of your email.
- After submitting your portfolio and bio, please pay your entry fee. You will be able to pay via PayPal or PayApp.
Non-refundable Entry Fee:
Early Submission (October 15 – October 31): $15 (USD) (₩15,000 (KRW))
Regular Submission (November 1 – November 21): $20 (USD) (₩20,000 (KRW))
-If your work is selected, you will be required to pay the show maintenance fee and the printing fee for the publication: total $220 (USD)

CICA 뉴 미디어 아트 2016 작가 공모
CICA 미술관에서 전시와 출판에 참여할 국내외의 뉴미디어 아티스트들을 모집합니다. 선정된 작가는 2주간 CICA 미술관에서 작품을 전시하며 2016년 출간될 “뉴 미디어 아트 2016”에 수록됩니다.
[전시] “CICA 뉴 미디어 아트 국제전 시리즈”
2016년 매 2주 간격으로 열리는 전시 시리즈에서는 3~6점의 뉴 미디어 작품이 설치됩니다. 각 작품은 2주간 전시됩니다.

*전시 장비 지원
전시를 위한 프로젝터, DVD 플레이어, 컴퓨터, 모니터 등이 지원됩니다. 한 점 이상의 작품을 전시하거나 두 대 이상의 프로젝터나 모니터를 필요로 하는 작품의 경우 추가 비용이 발생할 수 있습니다.
*작품의 설치 및 수송
디지털 작품을 미술관에 방문하여서 직접 설치할 수 없을 시에는 CICA 미술관의 큐레이터들이 작가님의 가이드라인에 따라 작품을 설치해 드릴 수 있습니다. 디지털 파일 이외의 수송해야 할 작품이나 장비가 있을 경우, 자비로 수송해 주시기 바랍니다.
[출판] “뉴 미디어 아트 2016”
서적 “뉴 미디어 아트 2016”은 2016년 미국과 한국에서 시판 예정입니다. 모든 작가는 각각 4페이지의 지면을 통해 소개됩니다. 작가를 소개할 수 있는 다양한 방식의 글 (인터뷰, 수필, 시, 등)이나 드로잉, 이미지도 수록 가능합니다. 관련 자료는 영문으로 제출해주시기 바랍니다. 또한 작가는 CICA 미술관 웹사이트 및 소셜 미디어를 통해 소개됩니다.
