강지연 개인전
강지연 작가는 일상 속 익숙한 사물들과 순간들을 통해, 인간 내면의 욕망과 감정의 잔상을 시각화한다. 이번 전시 《The Surface of Desire》는 삶에 스며든 욕망과 그 흔적들을 다양한 시선으로 풀어낸다. 자개의 표면처럼 화려하지만 얇고, 빛나지만 불안정한 욕망. 작가는 이를 통해 현실과 이상, 억압과 동경 사이의 긴장을 드러낸다.
Desire 시리즈에서는 자개를 매개로 이상화된 아름다움과 정체성의 충돌을 조형화하고, Piano and 시리즈에서는 순수한 동경과 감정의 기억을 따뜻한 시선으로 되살려낸다. Holiday는 쉼을 향한 갈망이 투영된 내면의 풍경을 그려낸다.
《The Surface of Desire》는 인간이 추구해온 욕망의 빛과 그림자를 따라가며, 그 표면 아래 숨겨진 감정의 조각을 마주하게 한다.
Kang Jiyoun visualizes traces of human desire and emotion through familiar objects and moments from everyday life. Her solo exhibition, The Surface of Desire, explores the subtle imprints of desire embedded in daily life from various perspectives.
Like the surface of mother-of-pearl—brilliant yet fragile, radiant yet unstable—desire reveals a tension between reality and ideal, suppression and longing.
In the Desire series, mother-of-pearl becomes a medium to express the clash between idealized beauty and identity. The Piano and series revisits pure longing and emotional memories through a gentle, reflective gaze. Holiday depicts internal landscapes shaped by a yearning for rest.
Following the light and shadow of human desire, The Surface of Desire invites viewers to confront the hidden fragments of emotion that lie beneath the surface.
