CICA 미술관에서 인스트럭션 기반 작품을 공모합니다. 선정된 작품은 CICA 미술관에서 전시되며 e북으로 출판됩니다. 전시 기록은 프로젝트 온라인 아카이브로 게재됩니다. 디지털 인스트럭션 기반 작업 (instruction-based art), 프로세스 아트, 게임 아트 및 A4 종이와 프린터를 이용한 작업을 모집합니다.
A4 O2O 프로젝트 소개:
1960년대 개념미술이래로 인스트럭션을 기반으로 작품을 하는 시도는 꾸준히 있어 왔습니다. 대표적인 예로 Yoko Ono의 Instruction Painting, Alan Kaprow의 Happening Scores, Sol Lewitt의 Wall Drawing 등이 있습니다. 한편 디지털 시대를 맞이하며 ‘인스트럭션,’ 즉 명령어 또는 지침서는 현대사회 시스템을 구축하는 중요한 근간이 되었습니다. ‘명령어’는 즉각적으로 생산되며, 실행되고, 존재하게 되며, 편재하게 됩니다. A4 O2O 프로젝트는 아티스트의 ‘지침서’를 기반으로 온라인과 오프라인에 존재하게 하는O2O (Online to Offline) 시스템을 구축하고자 합니다.

-선정된 작품은 작가가 직접 설치하거나 CICA 미술관 큐레이터 및 어시스턴트가 설치합니다.
*카테고리
–디지털 작업 (영상, 인터렉티브, 이미지) – 전자기기를 통해 전시되는 작품
***전시를 위한 프로젝터, DVD/DIVX 플레이어 등이 지원되며 작품은 CICA 미술관의 큐레이터들이 작가님의 가이드라인에 따라 작품을 설치 예정입니다. 작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 몇 점의 싱글 채널 비디오 작품들이 한 프로젝터에서 상영될 예정입니다. 작품이 하나의 프로젝터에서 단독으로 설치되어야 하는 경우, 또는 두 대 이상의 프로젝터나 모니터를 필요로 하는 작품의 경우 추가 비용이 발생할 수 있습니다.
–비(非)디지털 작업 – A4 종이, 프린터, 호치키스 (벽에 종이를 설치할 때 사용)을 이용한 작업
***다른 재료를 사용하거나 설치시 많은 시간이 소요되는 작품의 경우 추가 요금이 발생할 수 있으며 이와 관련하여 문의사항이 있으시면 cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com으로 연락주시기 바랍니다.

— 파일 형식: 워드파일 (.doc 또는 .docx)또는 PDF 파일
— 글 길이: 200-2000단어 내외
— 이미지: 2-10장 (선택 사항)
– 이메일 제목 란에 “A4 O2O 프로젝트 지원 – 카테고리 – 아티스트 이름”이라고 적어주세요.
선정된 작가는 7만원의 전시 진행 및 유지 비용을 지불하게 됩니다.

CICA Museum invites artists to submit instruction-based works for consideration for the publication and exhibition at CICA Museum. The selected works will be featured in the series eBook “A4 O2O Art #1” and the exhibition “Art O2O Show Fall 2016.” The documentation of works will be archived on the project website (http://cicamuseum.com/A4O2O/). We are open to instruction-based digital art, process art, and game art, and non-digital works utilizing A4 paper and a printer.
About A4 O2O Project:
Instruction-based art can be traced back to Conceptual Art in the 1960s, including Yoko Ono’s instruction paintings, Alan Kaprow’s happening scores, and Sol Lewitt’s wall drawings. Now, in our digital age, instructions have become the fundamental structures of our systems: a chain of commands is instantly produced, and it becomes visible, tactile, and ubiquitous. We aim to be an O2O (Online to Offline) system that can produce “instructions” as art and make them come alive in our online and offline spaces.

[Publication] Series Book “A4 O2O Art #1”
The book “A4 O2O Art #1” will be published as an eBook. The eBook will be available via Amazon.
[Exhibition] A4 O2O Show Fall 2016
Selected works will be installed by our curators and assistants.
*Categories:
–Digital works (video, interactive, or image files) that are exhibited through electronic devices.
***We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. Our curators & assistants will install your work(s) according to your installation guidelines. If the work is required to be screened through a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please contact us at “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.” Additional fees may apply.
–Non-digital works utilizing A4 papers, a printer, and a stapler (to post papers on the walls).
***Additional fees may apply if other materials or extra labor are required for the work. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.

— Format: a DOC (.doc or .docx) or a PDF file
— Length of text: 200-2000 words

If the artist’s work is selected, s/he will be required to pay a $65 maintenance & processing fee for each work.
