Instruction-based art can be traced back to Conceptual Art in the 1960s. Now, in our digital age, instructions have become the fundamental structures of our systems: a chain of commands is instantly produced, and it becomes visible, tactile, and ubiquitous. We aim to be an ¡°O2O (Online to Offline) system¡± that can produce ¡°instructions¡± as art and make them come alive in our online and offline spaces. The A4 O2O Show Spring 2016 is held from April 14 to May 1, 2016, featuring 11 conceptual artists/teams worldwide: Daniel Chong, Á¤Áö¼ö Jisoo Chung, Erik Austin Deerly, Hunter Elliott, Bethany Hargrove, À念Àº Pinky Jang, Karen KrolakSam Radford, Ryan J Rasmussen, Nuno Vicente, and YUNRUBIN (Joanne Pang & Jonas Rubin). The documentation of works will be archived on the project website.

Jisoo Chung brings her in [Family Messenger(2014)] as a mediator between family members. She tries to reconcile conflicts by writing a letter but as the letters are just a monologue, it still shows an ungratified gap between members¡¯ relationships through the undelivered messages. In [Lullaby(2016)], participant reads a lullaby to Siri(iphone) and again listens to the lullaby of Siri¡¯s. In the process, duration of written words and incorrect translations provide a question of how much we can share the same language with AI. The artist majored in Fine Art at Seoul National University and joined some group shows

YUNRUBIN is Singaporean-Danish art duo, Joanne Pang Rui Yun and Jonas Rubin. In an investigation towards the immateriality and the poetics of the everyday, they draw references to the notion of places, structures and materiality. They work with everyday domestic objects and construction materials such as asphalt anconcrete as they question the balance and contradictions in body presence, gravity, materiality and time that alludes to human existence. Their research takes form in a scale of installations, objects and images. They have presented projects in solo and group exhibitions in Denmark, Iceland, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Singapore. Since 2015, Yunrubin lives and works between Barcelona, Copenhagen and Singapore.
